Key Stage 2

Classes for 7 to 11 year old children

11+ Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning Familiarisation

At Harding Tutorials, we understand that preparing for the 11+ exam (as for any exam,) is a huge commitment for families in both time and resources. It takes planning, commitment and trust that you have found the right person to support your child through their first real experience into the world of tests and examinations.

Our exemplary record in 11+ familiarisation speaks for itself with a 98% success rate over a decade.

Since 2008 we have been unlocking and fuelling academic potential with our distinctive approach, tailored to equip children for success in school and beyond and fostering a lifelong love of learning that will serve them throughout their lives.

Working 1:1 or in small groups, our aim is for every child to feel empowered and confident enough to sit selective school entrance exams, while at the same time, to understand that these tests are not the measure of their worth.

Whatever your child is learning, they are always at the centre of everything we do; we support the whole family throughout the process of school admissions for the 11+ exam, with a full package of tailored services. These services include all preparation,  ongoing academic assessment, mock exams and a full range of verbal reasoning, non-verbal reasoning and spatial reasoning sessions.

We have a vast catalogue of resources, both commercial and tailor made to cater to each style of question presented, and when the time comes, we assure you, your child will feel confident and ready for the challenge.

Things people say about us ...

Julie worked wonders with my daughter while practising for her 11+. My daughter had very little self belief and worried about everything, she finds any kind of test or exam terrifying and is riddled with anxiety but Julie really gave her the knowledge and confidence to smash her tests and she still speaks very fondly of Julie to this day.

Julie's no nonsense and jovial style is perfect for that transition from primary to secondary, she really helped my
daughter in so many ways.

So much so that we are booking her in ASAP for my youngest daughter at the end of this year as she is due to start her studies for the 11+ too - I wouldn't trust anyone else.

Thank you Julie! Xx

Julie was absolutely great, I can’t recommend her enough.

I had heard good things about her from past students and
their parents but she definitely surpassed my expectations. From the minute we walked through her door and we were
greeted with a warm and very relaxed welcome both my daughter and I felt immediately at home.

She has a very unique style of tutoring and not once did I ever have to coax my daughter into going after school.

She loved going and above all Julie had her (and me!) prepped and ready for the 11+.

Julie definitely took a lot of stress out of the whole
situation.

Julie is one amazing lady and an excellent, inspiring teacher. Our son was finding the 11+ rather challenging and his
own school was not in support of it.

His confidence had fallen and he started to question whether the 11+ was right for
him. Julie was recommended to us by a neighbour who was also a teacher. The moment our son & us met Julie we
knew she was the right tutor, she made learning fun and gave him back his confidence. He looked forward to their
weekly sessions.

Julie has nothing but a "can do" attitude, she makes you as parents feel at ease and provides nothing but support. We
wish every teacher could be like Julie.

Best wishes
Amy & Matt

Julie was a super 11+ tutor for our son and would highly recommend. Made him feel very comfortable in his learning
environment, making him laugh whilst teaching him the skills such as breaking it down to the smallest point and to
always count the sides when a shape is inside of another was invaluable and he went on to pass his 11+ with flying
colours. Julie taught him to be confident in himself and told him that he had done the work and to show the school
they would be lucky to have him.

Even when he had a little wobble last minute Julie made time available in her busy diary to see him and go through things again which helped him mentally.

My son still mentions her now and we can’t thank Julie enough for her help and support.
